Lisbon has and will always have a special charm, but in Santos Populares festival is a whole other dimension. The revelry atmosphere, the smell of grilled food in the air and the frenetic movement - which is already happening again - gives it a nostalgic and vibrant flavor.
We didn't stay for the marches or rallies - too much confusion for us - but we spent the afternoon in a Tuk-Tuk celebrating the city and having dinner at one of our favourite places. In the meantime we took some pictures, ate ice cream, laughed and even played. It doesn't take much more.
